Clean up Bruce Road from Highway 32 to Skyway

Good morning, Thanks for the volunteering. Be sure to call Neal Road Landfill, 345-4719, a week in advance to reserve the pickers, vests and hats. To save time, I picked up the gear ahead of time. Last year starting at 8:30 we were able to finish by noon. We met at the bike path and had 8 teams of 2 working the entire stretch between HWY 32 & Skyway. 4 pairs worked each side of the road from 20th street north & southbound, respectively. 2 pairs worked from HWY 32 south and the last 2 pairs worked Skyway north. Eventually the teams meet somewhere in between. The bags are left well off the road and I collected the picker gear and return it to the storage shed next to the Neal Road landfill weigh station.
